Concert Bombings
Many people know who Ariana Grande is because of both her music career and acting career. She has been making headlines on news reports everywhere this past week though because of an event that happned at one of her concerts at Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017.
AmAt 10:30 pm at Manchester Arena just after Ariana Grande had finished her performance, a bomb went off. The bomb was very unexpected and the cause was not known. People were rushed out of the venue, by police and ambulances came to the scene to take people to the hospital. After clearing the arena the death toll was at 22 with at least 59 of her fans being injured. Ariana tweeted out to her fans shorty after the incident.
Police began investigating the scene and discovered that the suicide bomber had brought the bomb in, in his jacket. His name was Salman Abedi. ISIS later claimed responsibility for the attack by posting something on their site. The post thanked Salman for his work and praised him for doing what he did. President Trump spoke out about the attacks saying that ISIS and the bomber were all "evil loser." He said he would not call them monsters because he believed that they would like to be called that and he is not going to give them what they want. The attack was the deadliest terror attack in the US since 2005 when the London Subway bombing occurred.
